Download AndreaMosaic for Mac
 AndreaMosaic is completely free for personal or commerical use but the license requires that you make AndreaMosaic more popular by giving a reference/credit. AndreaMosaic is a Windows based application that can be used on a Mac OS X with an Intel CPU (all Mac models build since 2005). It is necessary to install a software that enable Windows applications to be run on OS X 10.4 or later (i.e. Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard). A free and easy to use tool is Darwine:

1. Install

If you have OS X 10.5 Leopard or later then the X11 package is already installed. If you have 10.4 Tiger then verify that X11 is installed in your Application folder. If not then:
1. Insert the OS X Tiger DVD.
2. Scroll the window down slightly.
3. Open the "Optional Installs" package.
4. When you see a list of package types, expand the "Applications" entry.
5. Check the "X11" box and continue.

Darwine

1. Download and open the Darwine image:

2. Drag the Darwine Icon to your Application folder:
darwine install
Darwine is build and maintained by Mike Kronenberg. For more information visit the Darwine web site.
Darwine and Wine are released under the open source LGPL license.

Uninstall
AndreaMosaic for Mac

To delete AndreaMosaic from your system just:
1. Drag the AndreaMosaic Icon to the Trash.
2. Drag the Darwine Icon to the Trash.
3. Optionally delete the user settings of Darwine:
Delete the following folders/files:
* /Applications/Darwine
* ~/.wine
* ~/Library/Preferences/org.wine.winehelper.plist

- Extracting Images from Video is not available.
- Drag&Drop from the Finder is not available.
- After creating the Mosaic the Open Folder feature will open the Windows File Manager and not the Finder (will be fixed).

 Shareware ($40) based on Wine.

Pro:
Easy install and commercial support for running some other Windows applications under Mac.
Cons:
Some minor issues with AndreaMosaic:
- Extracting Images from Video is not available.
- Drag&Drop from the Finder is not available.
Instructions:
1. Download and install CrossOver for Mac.
2. Download and install the Windows version of AndreaMosaic. It will be installed automatically inside CrossOver for Mac.
OR
2. Download and click on the AndreaMosaic for Mac version below.
Free (Open Source) and Windows license required.

Pro:
It allows you to run almost any Windows software.
Cons:
It requires a Windows license and a full Windows installation through a Virtual Machine. You need to install Windows, at least 2 GB of RAM and several GB of Disk space.
Instructions:
Download and install one of the three Virtualization softwares and follow the instructions on how to create a Virtual Windows Machine. Once you have Windows running download and install one of the AndreaMosaic versions for Windows.

Compatibility
 Windows - Vista, XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 98/ME/NT (should work on Windows 95 too).
Linux - All versions that support the free Wine Emulator.
Mac OS X - Version 10.4 and later (i.e. Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard) with Intel Processor. No PPC Processor. Sorry.
