Hiya, firstly I wanna say I love the look of this program and I love your ethos about free functioanlity, share the wealth, and volunteer to work. I hope if I end up getting into this then I can join that ethos and give something back to you for others to enjoy.

Aaanyways, I am in the process of selecting a tool for a job and I came across your site.

I have searched the forums and think I have the answers but the answers are 2 years old so please forgive me if I am churning out old questions again.

My basic needs are:
1 - I need to write something that is triggered automatically and builds a mosaic out of source images.
2 - It needs to make sure all images are used at least once
3 - It needs to know what image is placed where so I can highlight groups or individual images.

1 - I think in answer to 1, it isnt command line driven and you dont release any source code or an API is that correct? Is there any other way to trigger mosaic generation automatically? Ultimately if new images were uploaded to a repository folder them can a new mosaic be scheduled daily or anything like that to keep an updated mosaic?

2 - I know it works and I have been reading up on limiting it to repeat images a maximum of x times so that is great.

3 - Yeah, Is there a way of knowing what image is where so I can highlight around everywhere that image xxxx1.jpg is used? And as others have suggested maybe add a click event?

Cheers m'dear, like I say I love what you have done with the place and hopefully I can start getting into using this tool for my needs and then giving something back.

Lins.

Dear Lins,

A command line / API isn't available so you have to trigger manually the mosaic creation.

There is an option to use all Images, in the Tile List and also in the options screen. It can happen that a tile lies on a boundary/edge that isn't well visibile. You can avoid cropping the tiles at the edge by specifying Tile Size in "Tiles x row" and by giving a Main Image that has a size that is a multiple of the Mosaic Layout in Tiles.

In the Options enable the Text Report, it will create a CSV file that contains the location and size of each image. It's easily readable from a script/program so that you can create Events.
