Andrea,

First of all, I would like to thank you for this great software.

Secondly, I am trying to make a video mosaic for my brother-in-law's 50th birthday and I just couldn't find how I can do it. Do I need a separate video editing tool to do it? For instance, I would like to do some panning and zooming to a tile where a video will play.

I appreciate your help.

Here you can find the instructions on how to create a video mosaic (each tile is a video clip) using the latest beta version.

And yes, once you created the VideoMosaic you need a video editing tool for zooming and panning.

Any feedback is welcome. Let me know which programs you used for the video editing and your experience :)

I am still researching which video editing software has zoom and pan. Preferably a freeware since I have been out of work since early December 09.

But I will update you. By the way, I posted to the FaceBook fan page a photo mosaic of my daughter, that I created with your software

Thanks,

If it is a one of project, you can download the trial version of Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum.

It is one of the best editing software for the money (PC), and has a great handholding tutorial built in that takes you through necessary steps to do what you need.

A review of some shareware Editors is here:
http://video-editing-software-review.to ... index.html

It could be interesting to know which of these support videos where each frame has a size of several megapixels and allowing zooming too. So that we can create for example a 200 megapixel photomosaic (or videomosaic) and then do a nice zoom in/zoom out/pan over the mosaic.

Now I would like to find some freewares too....

Here some free software:
CineFX (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)
Lives (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)
Zwei Stein (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)
Hyperengine (Mac OS X)
Cinelerra (Linux)

I also mention Blender (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X), a complete free software for 3D and also Video Editing.

Any feedback is welcome :)
