Hi Andrea,

I tick the Deep Zoom checkbox and create the mosaic. But apart from the mosaic, I just get empty Working Data->Mosaic_Files folders created.

Should I get the 0,1,2,3,4 .. subfolders that I get after a DZC import ?

I'm using AndreaMosaic Professional 3.32.3,

Thanks, Adrian

The Deep Zoom Option in Andrea Mosaic does not create the Tileset, it creates a DeepZoom project file that you can then open with DeepZoom Composer. When you open the project with DeepZoom Composer, DeepZoom Composer will create the tileset, and allow you to export a DeepZoom Web page.

Now the problem is that DeepZoom Composer right now does not deal very well with very large images (it takes forever to open the project, then sometimes crashes, of does not export...), so if your mosaic is really large this may not be the best way.

the good news is that if DZC does not work for you, there is another utility from Microsoft research called hdmake that can create an HDView/DeepZoom Web page & tileset from either a single image of any size, or a number of images organised on a grid (and that you can create with the split option in AM).

It is a command line but works ten times faster than DeepZoom Composer, and gives you an HDView/DeepZoom page in no time.

see my other thread on this here.

Let me know if you need help with hdmake.
